The Bookstore Also Gets Shelving

This photo shows the carpenter's equipment in the gallery. The carpenter worked here to cut the cherry paneling and trim down to size. Eventually the gallery will have lounge seating and space in the foreground for art exhibits. To the left at the end of the room is the exterior entrance into the gallery from the tower. To the right at the far end of the room is the entrance from the gallery into the bookstore.

At the end of May, the bookstore staff moved anything not needed during summer school to these shelves along the wall in the new bookstore. Three short rows of free-standing shelving were erected in here at the same time as the library shelving went up. The new bookstore will eventually have soft chairs for examining books in comfort.
